Roaring Fork aims to be a small, quality-focussed producer of exceptional fruit, concentrating on personal care and intimate knowledge of the vines. They endeavour to produce wines that deliver quality and deliciousness. Wines that are eminently drinkable.

Our wines have been well received by reviewers such as Mike Bennie from WMB and Houn Hooke.

The 2014 Chardonnay collected Bronze Awards at the 2015 NSW Wine Awards and the 2015 Orange Wine Show, and the 2014 Pinot Noir received a Bronze Award at the 2015 NSW Wine Awards.

Handpicked

The grapes are handpicked with love by the Smith family along with friends from a north easterly facing site with an elevation of 710m.

A subtle, soft, and beautifully fragrant Shiraz with pure fruit charactors entwined with chocolate, aniseed and vanilla. American oak adds a refined ruggedness and long savoury finish to this elegant and perfectly balanced fruit forward cool climate wine. A style suited to all occasions. It is ready for drinking now but with the weight and complexity to improve with cellaring.

The volcanic soils of the Amaroo Plateau impart intensity, aromatic delicacy and bright natural acidity to the fruit of this classic cool-climate pinot noir. Perfectly ripened tannins highlight luscious fruit notes and an earthy texture in this medium bodied pinot making it a beautifully balanced wine.
